Tryll - Redemption The Troll Gods
Bar

The Troll gods are ancient gods, worshipped primarily by trolls, but commonly by orcs, ogres, minotaur, and other evil races. Unless otherwise noted, all Troll gods have the following at will abilities:

Astral and ethereal travel Comprehend languages
Cause (blindness, deafness, disease, feeblemind, insanity) Detect (charm, evil/good, illusion, invisibility, lie, magic, traps)
Continual darkness Infravision
Geas Know alignment
Levitate Read magic and languages
Mirror Image Polymorph self
Teleport without error Tongues

All saving throws done against the magics cast by Troll god avatars are done with a -6 penalty. Unless otherwise noted, the Troll gods have a number of limited use abilities. The number in brackets indicates the number of times the ability can be used in a day. An absence of any number indicates that the ability can be used any number of times per day.

Finger of Death Protection from good, 10' radius (5)
Dispel (evil, illusion, magic) (2 each) Heal (3)

The Troll gods do have clerics - primarily among the intelligent bipedal monster species. A few rare human and demi-human clerics are known, and these are characters of extreme evil, power, and influence.

The Troll gods grant their clerics major and minor access to three schools. Clerics of these gods receive one special granted ability for every 4 levels. Worshippers of the Troll gods have a 1% chance per every 2 levels or hit dice of calling upon the aid of a Troll god. This aid can be called for only once in the character's lifetime.

Clerics of the Troll gods have a 2% chance per level of calling upon such aid (and can do so a maximum of once a month). Any character who is successful in summoning a Troll god is probably in as much trouble as he was before hand; the Troll gods despise being summoned, and are as likely to punish their summoner as they are to grant his requests for aid.

A Troll god cannot be truly slain upon the Prime Material Plane. If his form is killed on that plane, then the god is forced back to his home plane, and loses all access to the Prime for 24 hours. This means that he cannot extend his influence into the Prime, and no cleric of that god may gain any new spells above 2nd level until the 24 hour period is over. All granted abilities are also lost until the god's influence returns.

Follow the links below to gain information on each of the Troll Gods. I will be putting more gods up here, as time permits.
