Chra (the Troll word for "eat") is the Troll god of food, feeding, hunting and gluttony. Chra appears as a large (16' tall), obese troll, constantly eating and salivating. Chra is sickly green in color.
Table 2. Chra's Statistics
Special Attacks/Defenses: Chra sees anything that moves as being food (his motto is "If I'm not supposed to eat you, then why are you made out of meat?"). On any attack roll of 20, he has snagged his enemy, and consumes him whole. This attack works only against size M or smaller characters. Once eaten, characters suffer 4d10 hps of acid damage per round. Chra's stomach is AC 8, and can take 50 hps of damage before the character manages to hack his way out. All exposed items in the stomach must pass a save vs. acid every round, or be destroyed. Chra regenerates at the rate of 1d10+10 hps per round. If he has taken internal damage (i.e., someone in his stomach attempting to cut their way out), then this damage is regenerated first. Chra is immune to all forms of acid and poison. However, he is especially vulnerable to magic fire, and suffers an extra 2 hps of damage per die from such spells. Duties of Clerics: Clerics of Chra have two purposes. The first is to prepare elaborate sacrifices to Chra. The second is to eat - as much as they can, whenever they can. These clerics are almost always obscenely obese. All clerics of Chra are required to have the cooking non-weapon proficiency, if human or demi-human - even though they are quite happy eating their food raw. Requirements: AB any; AL any evil or Chaotic Neutral; WP any; AR any.
Summoning the Avatar: In order to successfully summon Chra, the summoner must prepare a sacrifice of meat - at least 200 lbs. of it. The meat can be in any condition; raw, cooked, diseased, spoiled, still attached to a living animal - Chra is not a picky eater. When summoned, Chra will immediately begin eating the meat offered. After he is done, he will begin to eat any other meat nearby - cows, pigs, unwary adventurers - even his summoner. To prevent himself from being eaten, the summoner must plead his case while Chra eats the sacrificed food. Chra can eat 2d10 + 10 pounds of meat a round. While Chra eats, the summoner has a cumulative 1% chance per round of persuading Chra not to eat him. Thus, the more meat the summoner provides, the greater the likelihood of remaining outside the Avatar's gullet. As with the other Troll gods, the summoner had better have a very, very good reason for summoning the avatar. Simply being in need is not, in the eyes of the Troll gods, good reason. |
