Tryll - Redemption Powers

Asha'dar. The very name breathes fear into the hearts of the mightiest of men. For centuries, a tale told by mothers to frighten their children, Asha'dar's name means fear and terror. With the Elder God's rebirth, the world of Tryll seemed doomed. However, the Mighty god v'Ran also managed to somehow return to Tryll. Again sacrificing himself to protect his creation, v'Ran pulled much of his power into himself, in the process severely weakening the other gods - Asha'dar included. But even a god can hold only so much power. Overwhelmed by this energy, v'Ran was killed for a second time.

Asha'dar is a powerful god, and appears as a human male, just under seven feet tall. He is always garbed in fabulous golden plate mail (this armour renders Asha'dar immune to attacks from any weapon forged by elves - weapons forged by other races of at least +4 enchantment have normal effect). He has dark black hair and eyes. He appears to be in his early thirties, and has a strong, square jaw and hawk nose.

Asha'dar has claimed the continent of Vax Dracos for his own - renaming it Cor Travok (which, in the lost Idyllian tongue, means 'The Tyrant Returned'). Reshaping the humans of that continent to his own twisted will, Asha'dar has given birth to the Nayvar. Asha'dar rules Cor Travok completely, but spends most of his time deep in thought, brooding over his failure to best v'Ran.

Original creator of the Elves of Tryll, Asha'dar is angered by his current inability to control them. The elves now worship Shayista Raygold, and that power has created the Stone of Freedom, a powerful artifact which prevents Asha'dar from exercising control over the elves. Should Asha'dar ever be able to destroy or capture this artifact, the elves would surly fall under his control once more. The Stone of Freedom is currently held in Arina'nor, and is guarded by Calian Oaksroot, Gladeguardian of the Arina'nor elves.

Other Names: The Brooding One, Darkstorm, Cloudbringer.

Duties of Clerics: Clerics of Asha'dar have one job, and that is to make sure that their god rules supreme. They are commanded to kill any cleric or worshipper of any god other than their own. They also try to convert everyone they meet to the worship of their god. If at all possible, those who refuse to worship Asha'dar are usually killed. These clerics have a special hatred of elves who do not worship Asha'dar, and do their best to convert them. Those who do not convert they try to kill (usually in secretive ways, unless they figure they can get away with a frontal attack). Elves who happen to be clerics of other gods are their most hated enemies.
