Tryll - Redemption Encounters
Bar

Terrain: City
Recomended Levels: Any
Encounter Type: NPC
Danger Level: Low to Medium
Story XP Bonus: 1,000 +

Encounter Description:     This encounter is best run when one PC has been seperated from her companions. The character finds herself on a fairly crowded street. As she approaches the corner of a building, a young woman rushes around the corner, watching over her shoulder. She does not see the PC, and they collide.

The woman (named Halida) apologizes for her clumsiness, then attempts to run on. Before she gains her feet, a burly young man (by the name of Gelos) runs around the corner. She tells the PC that Gelos is her brother. She then explains that she is being forced to marry against her will (a dim-witted lumberjack named Gruth). She begs the PC to help her escape her brother.

DM's Explanation:     There are several ways to run this encounter. It can be played as it seems, or, it can be an elaborate front to allow Halida a chance to get close enough to the PC to pick his pocket. If this is the case, both Halida and Gelos are thieves, who run this scam on unsuspecting targets. They should each be of a level consistent with the party's average. Halida will have at least 1d4 chances to pick the unwary PC's pocket.

Experience Bonus:     The PC should receive at least 1,000 xp for role playing this encounter. Should the encounter lead on to a more detailed situation, then the xp should obviously be adjusted upwards.
